Martin Odegaard reveals how Arsenal can bounce back against Liverpool

Martin Odegaard has insisted Arsenal have learned from their recent poor run of results and will "come back stronger" on Sunday against Liverpool.

The Gunners have endured a surprising dip in form in recent weeks, winning just one of their last six Games in all comPetitions - including consecutive losses to West Ham and Fulham in the Premier League which have seen them drift five points off the pace at the top of the table.

Having squandered their lead atop of the Premier League table to Liverpool, Arsenal have a chance to get some revenge in the FA Cup third round on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking to the press ahead of the game, captain Odegaard insisted the Gunners have learned from their recent poor run of form and intend to prove that at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

"I don't think it was anywhere near the standards we've set for ourselves and the performances we've shown this season," said Odegaard.

"But this can happen, you know? Sometimes you don't have the best day at the office, you have to learn from it and come back stronger. This is the moment to show that against Liverpool. That's what we're going to try and do."

When pressed on why Arsenal's form dipped dramatically during the Christmas period, Odegaard added: "After what we did last season and the beginning of this season, teams are analysing us and looking at what we're doing in games.

"They're trying to stop us playing to our strengths. Are they dropping deeper? Yeah, I think so.

"I like that challenge. It's a good sign, to feel like teams are coming here and showing that they respect you. We just have to find different spaces and to play well enough to deal with it."
