The Baltimore Ravens will play the Washington Commanders in Week 2 of the NFL Preseason on Monday night at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. Baltimore won their preseason opener against the Eagles by a score of 20-19, while Washington got a 17-15 win over the Browns. Which team will pick up their second victory of the preseason in this matchup?

Ravens Preview

The Baltimore Ravens won a thrilling Game against the Eagles to start the preseason by a score of 20-19 last weekend. Baltimore was held scoreless in the first quarter, but they got a seven yard touchdown reception by Devin Duvernay from Josh Johnson and a 60 yard field goal from Justin Tucker in the second quarter. The Ravens went ahead 17-13 in the third quarter on a Tylan Wallace 10 yard reception from Tyler Huntley, then got a 43 yard field goal in the fourth quarter from Justin Tucker. The Ravens gave up a pick six about halfway through the fourth quarter, but they were able to stop the Philadelphia two point conversion attempt. Baltimore was out gained by a total of 335-272 and turned the ball over two times in the win. The Ravens converted 18 first downs and went 8-14 on the third down attempts. Tyler Huntley and Josh Johnson threw touchdown passes for Baltimore, while Anthony Brown went 3/7 for seven yards and an interception. The Ravens are expected to be without Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley for this Game, so the workload will fall on Johnson and Brown.

Commanders Preview

The Washington Commanders also played a very exciting Game last weekend, where they defeated the Cleveland Browns by a score of 17-15. Washington was also held scoreless in the opening quarter, but scored two touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 14-2 lead into the half. The Commanders got a 26 yard touchdown reception by Jahan Dotson from Sam Howell and a 12 yard touchdown run by Jacoby Brissett before halftime. In the second half, Washington only managed three points, which came off of a 49 yard field goal by Joey Slye. The Commanders did allow 13 points in the last 16 minutes, but they were able to stop the two point attempt by Cleveland with 1:39 left in the fourth for the win. Washington was out gained by a total of 374-276 and turned the ball over twice in the Game. The Commanders converted 17 first downs and went 3-11 on third down attempts. Sam Howell looked the best under center for Washington, but Jacoby Brissett and Jake Fromm also played. Howell is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Commanders, but should still play in this Game

Pick

The Ravens have been the best team in the preseason over the last eight years, but they will travel to play a Washington team that is going to give them some issues. Baltimore is down to their third and fourth string quarterbacks and Anthony Brown did not look good last game. Washington will have Sam Howell under center for at least part of this game, as he continues to develop. After Howell exits, we should see a good amount of Jacoby Brissett, who is an established quarterback in this league. I think the Commanders are in the better spot here, given the Ravens injuries, and I like Washington to get it done here. Take the Commanders to get the win.
